Lonneke has a degree in Cognitive Neurobiology and Clinical Neurophysiology. After completing her studies, she worked as a policy advisor, assisting governments at various levels, and the EU, with questions related to science, technology, and innovation. Her strong interest in (consumer) behavior and marketing eventually led her to Neurensics.
